LAS VEGAS – Gorgeous women from around the world vying for the Miss Universe 2010 crown have their pictures taken every day leading up to the big event. For their latest pictorial, the beautiful women posed in front of Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino in their swimsuits.
Miss Philippines Venus Raj was excited while she posed for the cameras next to other contestants, Miss Poland, Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Peru.
“Lahat kasi magaganda. Lahat matatangkad. Lahat iba-iba ang color ng hair, ng skin. 'Di mo masasabi kung sino ang maganda sa maganda pero ako bilang isang Pilipina, ginagawa ko lang 'yung best na kaya kong gawin. Hindi mo kailangan mag-pretend. 'Di mo kailangan magkunwari kung ano ang gusto mong gawin. Just be yourself and everything will go smoothly,” said Raj.
Rala Raasi, swimsuit designer for the Miss Universe 2010, said she created bikinis that would look “chic” and “rock and roll” on the contestants.
“For these bikinis, I wanted to do something that is very pretty but, at the same time, very rock and roll and chic,” said Raasi.
From the Las Vegas strip, all 83 contestants, with Miss Universe 2009 Steffania Fernandez, trooped to the Freemont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas to watch the concert of the up-and-coming band, Neon Trees.
Local kababayans who brought flags and banners were also present to show their support for Miss Philippines. Balitang America
