Willie Revillame still in fighting form

He is not backing down. Even after network giant ABS-CBN insisted that he is still very much under contract with them until September 2011, controversial TV host Willie Revillame is pursuing the possibility of working with other networks. In an interview with GMA-7's "24 Oras," Revillame reiterated his stand that he is being treated quite unfairly by his former Kapamilya. He insists that the issue is now far removed from his word war with writer Jobert Sucaldito, focusing rather on the 'talk' he had with the powers that be at ABS-CBN last July 31. "Dun po ako nasaktan na dahil una sa lahat, nakaready na po kami lahat tapos biglang sinabi na isang araw na lang daw ang 'Wowowee,' dun ako nag-isip ng matindi." According to Revillame, the network offered him a one-hour show plus another pre-recorded show for ABS-CBN's sister network, Studio 23. "[Save that] that marami daw ayaw akong bumalik, marami daw nag-e-email, e. Sana hindi na lang nila ako kinausap kung ganoon." As of the moment, the controversial host considers himself a freelancer and is offering his talent to any network willing to take him in. Revillame's lawyer, Leonard De Vera, said that ABS-CBN can't do anything about it. "Kung pipigilan si Willie, dadaaan sa korte ito," said he. Revillame maintains that he simply wants to continue with his obligation of bringing happiness to his 'kababayans.' In response, ABS-CBN reiterated its recent statement that the TV host will not be released from his obligation with the company.
