Apparently still very much into her favorite topic - herself - Kris Aquino admits she is now resigned to a life of single blessedness. The declaration forms part of the recently separated actress-host's feature article "Endings and Beginning," which appears in the most recent issue of her very own magazine, K: The Kris Aquino Magazine. She wrote, "I'm not miserable on my own... I've reached a point in my life when I sincerely like myself, I am comfortable with who I am and what I am, and I enjoy my own company. Being single suits me." She is quite content with her two sons, Joshua and James Jr., she said. "They are the only two men I wish to give my whole heart and entire being to, because I know they will reciprocate my love and accept me for all that I am and appreciate me for being me." Short of saying that she has been quite delusional when it comes to love, Aquino went on to divulge that she is done with "any romantic illusions. Lasting love and committed relationships just don't seem to be part of my fate." She also said she won't entertain any thoughts on forming a new relationship with anyone while her marriage to basketball star James Yap is still legally binding. "I won't enter the notion of dating or meeting anybody because my past has already taught me that it will be extremely unfair to anybody I will get involved with; in the eyes of the law, that relationship can't be sanctioned," she wrote. But of course, this didn't stop Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin "Junjun" Binay Jr. to share his two cents' worth in the ongoing debacle involving Aquino and Yap. Binay, who is being linked to Aquino by some, said Friday he supports Aquino's decision to invalidate her marriage to Yap. "Let's pray for her that she'll find the happiness that she truly deserves," he said. Binay is a widower. His wife, Kennely Ann, passed away in 2009 after giving birth to their youngest daughter. Aquino admitted in recent interviews that Binay, who had been a 'shoulder to cry on' in the past few days, has qualities she admires in a man. "Nakilala ko siya when I was losing my mother. Nakilala niya ako when he was losing his wife. In the span of that one year, both our lives have changed so much," said Aquino. While the entire archipelago seem only too eager to follow this drama, a steadfast traffic enforcer kept at his work, citing the driver of Aquino for obstruction after illegally parking in front of the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation gates Friday morning. Ticketing inspector Reynaldo del Rosario, traffic aide II of the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), said he ordered Aquino's driver, Mario Villegas, to move his boss' vehicle - a black Ford van - to a different spot since it was blocking ABS-CBN's Sergeant Esguerra Avenue gate. The MMDA later said Villegas was cited for obstruction and illegal parking, which carries the fine of P150 and P200. Villegas said it was Aquino herself - who was then busy taping for her new noontime show "Pilipinas Win na Win" - who told him to obey the law and accept the traffic tickets.
