Korean stars paid their final respects to fashion design icon Andre Kim, who died of colon cancer and pneumonia on Aug. 12. He was 74.
Kim's wake is being held at the Seoul National University Hospital.
His death came as a shock to his friends and family. Kim was undergoing treatment at a hospital for several weeks before he died.
Among the stars and entertainers seen at the wake were popular actress Choi Ji-woo, Super Junior member Siwon, SM Entertainment mogul Lee Soo-man, actor Won Bin, Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Hee-seon, Yu Jae-suk and Kim Bum.
Andre Kim was South Korea's first male fashion designer, as well as the most prominent, who started his craft in 1962.
In 1966, Kim was the first Korean to hold a fashion in Paris that paved the way for his entry into the world of fashion.
From then, he held fashion shows in different parts of the world including Spain, the US, and China.
According to Korean media, Kim left real property worth 28 billion won (about P1.07 billion) located in Seoul. He is survived by his 30-year-old adopted son Jung-do.
